And the answers are always coming. Thousands and tens of thousands of times have my prayers been answered. When once I am persuaded that a thing is right and for the glory of God, I go on praying for it until the answer comes. George Mueller never gives up!"
#6. Aim for "Purpose" and do the Research! Luke 14:25-35
Before you set your goal do the research, count the costs and find out what gives your life purpose. Then set the goal accordingly!
When you are setting life goals, those goals that are life altering, life changing, don’t go after your passion. Go after what gives you purpose. Goals aimed at purpose take much more planning and strategy. When that thing that gives you passion turns into something that stomps our your passion, you will drop it and head for the next thing that fires your passion. That’s a losing strategy.
#7. Set Out for the Long-Haul!
Plan on failing along the way! Know that there will be roadblocks, stumbling blocks and potholes in your path. When you fall, plan to get back up! Fall forward and learn from your mistakes! Proverbs 24:16 says, “No matter how often honest people fall, they always get up again; but disaster destroys the wicked.”
#8. Commit to continual self-evaluation! Romans 12:3
Own your failures, share the success. Stop the self-doubt, don’t procrastinate unless it works to the good, find new people who can help you stay on track, remember the bad habits add up over time!
#9. Focus on the incremental changes. Ephesians 4:22-24
Focus on continually adjusting what you do, do it better so that it keeps you on track. You don’t have to eat that elephant all at once! Just one bite at a time!
